A Day in the Life of Marine Captain Cross before the Zoastra Part Eight

PhotoFunia Macho Regular 2013-09-15 12 17 56Cross found the guns and put one in his shoe, and another in the belt on his back. The third he put in his holster. Battles were made for warriors, and very few had his training. Soon he’d be on any rescue mission to bring the women home.

He packed the rest of the guns in a transport, and pushed it to the shuttle bay. His men needed weapons too.

Returning to the shuttle bay, Cross stopped when he saw Major Newman speaking at the communication tripod mast. Was it relevant news?

He was walking ahead to check on the supplies when Second Lieutenant Rex Gaynor’s voice rang out in the air. “We are scheduled for a 0000 in twenty minutes. Everyone please follow procedure 7642.”

The first code meant interception. The ship or the planet lay ahead…7642 means they’re scanning the vessel more closely and on our ship there is a specialized training, and to report immediately.

The missing women were in transport somewhere. Captain Cross planned to get them back, if given the opportunity, and he had men to give orders too. He stood at attention until Major Newman finished his call.

“We know how the flight deck differs from the rest of the ship.” Listening to Newman, Cross assumed the difference meant why only the women on the flight deck disappeared.

Seconds later, Major Newman called out to everyone in the bay, “Most of our ship is made from old-school tiles. But the Flight Deck is more reinforced with carbon. The Tyrians’ scans never penetrated the rest of the ship, only the flight deck. Every one of us is to wear standard-issue space suits before engaging in any battle. Any questions?”
