Mr. Charming shouldn’t be here

Sex: No

I needed to nip my competition out of the race. My hear raced though. I wanted to make movies and be remembered as an actress. My nose itched as I thought about this but then I simply said, “That’s fast.”

“You know how it is.” Fred said. “Opportunity knocks fast.”

True and maybe Peter needed time without her. I might be thinking about this all wrong. She sighed and said, “I’ll book a flight to California.”

Fred then said, “No need. The movie and audition film in Miami.”

Good then I was here and could handle my personal life issue and upgrade my career. The trees finally passed, and a huge smile grew on my face as I reached my dressing room and said, “Even better….”

And there was Mr. Charming standing with red roses.

Goosebumps grew on my arms. Mr. Charming wasn’t Peter and I shouldn’t get this zap in my heart. I licked my lips and imagined Mr. Charming’s kiss as he wiped my tears away with his slightly rough thumbs. However I told Fred fast, “Send me the details in a text.”

Without another word I hung up my phone and stared at the dimples and broad shoulders of the man with flowers.

Mr. Charming bowed and kissed my hand. Then he said, “You didn’t say goodbye.”

My hand had a bit of a tremble and a spark raced through me. This never happened with anyone, not that I’d admit this, ever. I took my hand back, ignored the spark and lifted my chin. “He gets 15% of what I make. He’ll forgive me. Now who are you and why are you here?”

He winked at me and pushed the flowers in my arms. “I’ll tell you when we go out for dinner whatever you want to know.”

This was too much, almost like he read my script and thought it was time my life had a parallel.

However Ms. Bad Underwear was a blip in my life. So I sighed, placed the bouquet on the table and shook my head. Peter was all I’d ever need. I turned toward the mesmerizing brown eyes, swallowed and stood taller. “Dinner? I can’t. I have a boyfriend.”

One eyebrow of his widened as he stared straight into my brown eyes like he was about to share a secret. His dimples widened as he said, “The one at his house having sex with another woman as we speak?”

No. My heart stopped. This wasn’t good. I then grabbed my phone and didn’t care about anything. I dropped my green ballgown onto the floor and and grabbed my plain white t-shirt and black pants as I said, “I have to go.”

Then I slipped my Coach sneakers on my feet and reached for the knob.

“Dinner tomorrow night?” He asked as he followed me out of my dressing room.

I waved behind me as I raced out. “Sure. Tomorrow.”

And then I bolted out the door without talking to anyone.
